Perry PTA

Membership Makes A Difference!

Have you joined the PTA?

This year the PTA will sponsor both the Art Program and Music and must raise $20,000 to do so.  Your support of our school is more important than ever!  The PTA also is the only resource for school Technology, Play Equipment, Field Trips, Assemblies, and more!

So does this mean that our Students will not have Field Trips this year?  Not a chance!  We are planning on cutting costs elsewhere, increasing our fund raising, and asking for direct donations.  You can support Perry Students with your PTA Membership so join today!

FAQ's on the PTA

1.  If I join am I obligated to Volunteer?

We Love our volunteers but joining the PTA does not mean you must help out.  It is financial support for the Students and you have already helped out with your membership.

2.  How much does school programs cost the PTA each year?

The average that Perry PTA raises for school programs is $58,000.  This includes Art ($6,000), Performing Arts ($15,000), Fall Festival, Dr. Seuss Night, Filed Trips for each grade, fun educational Assemblies for the whole school, new technology, new books for the library, and more.

3.  Can all students participate even if parents don't join the PTA?

Every student may participate in every PTA program or function.

4.  If I volunteer will I be stuck with a huge job that will take many hours?

No.  Becky Kruse, our new PTA President, and I have worked very hard PRE-PLANNING every event this year.  All we need to do is call to confirm and get volunteers to help for an hour or two.  If you would like to take a leadership role for any event Becky and I can show you what to do and help you every step of the way.

This is going to be a very exciting year for our Panthers.  If you have any questions please contact hbsheila@aol.com and I look forward to seeing all of you Back to School!
